Chris Murphy signs with Friendly Folk Records

We warmly welcome Chris Murphy, (USA) violin virtuoso to our Friendly Folk family! After several months of negotiations, we are thrilled to announce that we have signed this amazing virsatile Artist to our label. Chris has carved out a name for himself in the California music scene, and throughout the USA, with over 30-years of live performances and collaborations with many artists. In addition to violinist, Chris is an avid songwriter, composer, and producer. As a multi-instrumentalist, he has released 13 solo albums of original tunes, and more than 20 albums as a collaborative musician and producer. You can hear Murphy’s signature violin in cameo appearances on albums from The Dandy Warhols, and he has been featured on television programs such as ‘Til Death and The Ellen Degeneres Show . His music reflects influences of Folk, Jazz and World music. Look for release of Murphy’s next album, SOVEREIGN, a folky blend of violin and vocals, to be released Summer/2020 on Friendly Folk Records.
