New Release – Woolverstones ‘A Song for Harlequins’

Woolverstones debut single, “A Song for Harlequins” is an ode to the human spirit. A marination of the west coast late sixties sound and dreamy, mystical folk music. We sent out a pre-release copy of the song to several seasoned musicians in the contemporary folk genre, and this is what they had to say about ‘A Song for Harlequins’:

“Love the track. Love the fact that it is not cluttered with over production and electronic gimmicks. I like the dynamics and simplicity. Very nicely done.”
— Gene Parsons (The Byrds)

“Very nice…Reminds me of one of the best songs ever, “She’s Not There” (No One Told Me About Her) by the Zombies.”
— John York (The Byrds)

“I like this song! Nicely constructed and a beautiful arrangement and lyrics.”
— David Bennett Cohen (Country Joe and the Fish)

“Seriously its very good…His voice has something of Nick Drake about it. The chorus is very catchy.”
— Malcolm Le Maistre (The Incredible String Band)
